Crandall Engineering Ltd. offers complete highway design services for projects ranging from major 4-lane divided highways to urban roads and streets. The firm has worked with Maritime Road Development Corporation in the design of significant portions of the 4-lane Moncton to Fredericton highway project and provided complete design and project management services for the reconstruction of Champlain Street in Dieppe, N.B, one of the busiest urban streets in New Brunswick. Crandall also provides engineering services to NB Department of Transportation related to transportation design. The firm utilizes state of the art Geopak highway design software and Microstation or AutoCAD drafting software for all such projects.

In street design, the special requirements of industrial, residential, and highway uses are considered, including traffic load and volume, design speed, safety, and aesthetics. Also, drainage and erosion control systems are carefully designed.

Crandall also has significant experience in airport systems as well. Projects completed have included runway extensions, runway reconstruction, cargo aprons, and related lighting and drainage systems. A recent job was the design and construction supervision of a new 22 acre apron for a new terminal building.
