Over the past 30 years Crandall has provided engineering services in the planning and development of modern industrial parks and residential land for numerous clients in Canada and abroad. Extensive experience in this discipline has created a specialty service for the firm.
Crandall works closely with local and provincial industrial promotion agencies to identify the specific type or types of industries being targeted. Site evaluation typically includes topographical surveys, geotechnical investigations, zoning reviews, municipal growth patterns, identification of existing utilities and services, identification of all transportation systems and consideration of environmental impacts. After a site has been secured, Crandall provides a development plan identifying proposed lots, and a service plan for transportation routes and utilities. Finally, Crandall's provides complete engineering services for the design and contract administration for the development of the industrial park or residential sub-division.
Crandall has prepared the designs for over 4000 acres of industrial lands and residential lands in Canada and overseas. This has included conceptual and long-range planning, as well as design and construction management of streets, water, sewer, and drainage systems, electrical and telecommunication systems. In some cases, this has also included industrial buildings.
